🔍 The CON in the CONQUER Method: What We Overlook in Goal-Setting
Have you ever set a goal, created a solid plan, and still found yourself struggling to follow through?
So far, we’ve explored the first three steps of the CONQUER Method:
✅ C – Current Situation: Understanding where you stand.
✅ O – Objective: Defining what you aim to achieve.
✅ N – Nuts & Bolts: Structuring your goal into achievable steps.
But even with all of this, something is missing.
🚨 The Hidden Assumptions That Hold Us Back
Many assume that having a plan means automatic success. But we often overestimate or miscalculate key factors, such as:
🔹 Our resilience and ability to push through anything.
🔹 How much time and availability we truly have.
🔹 Our energy levels and ability to sustain motivation.
🔹 The sacrifices we’re willing (or unwilling) to make.
This is why some goals collapse—not because they weren’t well-structured, but because life happens, and these variables shift.
🔑 The CON: Factoring in Reality
This is where the next part of the CONQUER Method comes in. Beyond logic, we need a holistic approach that adapts as we go. Over the coming weeks, I’ll dive into:
🟢 Q – Qualifying Help: Identifying the support you truly need.
🟢 U – Unblocking Obstacles: Addressing internal and external roadblocks.
🟢 E – Endgame Journey: Keeping momentum for the long run.
🟢 R – Recognition & Reward: Reinforcing progress to sustain motivation.
