Getting into the nitty-gritty details, the “N” step of the CONQUER Method focuses on the practical / logical aspects of achieving your goal.

And I stress only the logical element, there is a lot more to it than this.

However, it’s still a crucial component of the journey, that is

GETTING IT DONE

With that there are some guiding principles

The Plan:

Your plan must be more than a lofty ambition;

It needs to be a roadmap grounded in reality.

It should seamlessly integrate into your already dynamic lifestyle.

This will take time to figure this out.

With that, while it’s good to build a helicopter view for the overall journey,

It will take time to find the sweet spot into what is actually achievable.

The concern here is always, jumping out of the hatches too fast and burn out quickly.

Focus more in the beginning on building momentum.

Realistic Breakdown:

Break your plan down into manageable chunks: daily, weekly, and monthly milestones.

By understanding what you aim to achieve monthly, you can delineate weekly targets and actionable daily tasks.

It may not be daily, could be every 2nd or other day.
The key is the ‘Little Often Approach’ to build a sustainable habit over time.

When we build these audacious goals, we can often scare ourselves into putting things off.

This is why breaking them down to their micro tasks helps you see a path forward.

And, more importantly, it becomes not so scary.

So for example, I’m planning an ultra marathon this year.

There will be tough days, where I will have no motivation in doing the run that’s scheduled.

So consider the steps in going out for a run –

✅You must put on your running gear

✅Then go outside the front door

✅Then run.

My 1st 2 micro goals are get dressed and go out the door.
Then, when I’m outside I can decide do I want to run.. I’ve never not run

Creating Space:

Implementing your plan necessitates creating space in your schedule.

This might require sacrificing certain activities to accommodate your goal pursuit effectively.

And as already stated, this will take some time to find the sweet spot,

Start by focusing 1 month at time, keeping overarching view on your helicopter plan.

⏩ Reassess and Adjust:

Regularly reassess your progress and adjust your plan accordingly.

The plan is NOT STATIC,  it should be reviewed and iterated often.

The more you do, the more you learn, the more insights you can take with you moving forward.

Learn from each month’s experiences to refine your strategy and make it more effective.

Risk and KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid):

Embrace calculated risks in your planning but also adhere to the principle of simplicity.

Keeping your plan straightforward increases its sustainability and ease of execution.

By getting into the nitty-gritty details, breaking down your goals, and creating a realistic, actionable plan, you set yourself up for success.

Remember, it’s not just about setting goals; it’s about meticulously crafting the path to achieve them.
